Counseling Services

Counseling Services

Sometimes in the life of a family, issues arise that need the assistance of a professional. Adoptees, especially those with a history of abuse or neglect, may have struggles that are unique and require a specific expertise.

Our trained staff offers mental health counseling services for adoptees and their families. All counseling is provided by licensed social workers or therapists who have years of experience with foster care and adoption. Families can receive services on a weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly basis.

Issues typically covered include:

  • difficulties forming relationships,
  • family conflicts,
  • struggles in school,
  • problem behaviors such as lying, temper tantrums, or fighting,
  • identity struggles related to adoption,
  • low self esteem or inability to trust.
