Developmental Disabilities

We strive to improve the quality of life for children with developmental disabilities through long term or emergency residential care and respite services. Our compassionate staff provides a nurturing, home setting for children with disabilities from birth to twenty-one years of age, 24 hours a day, and seven days a week.

Our staff takes great care to provide each child with the best quality of life possible. Our children are non-ambulatory and may have a combination of disabilities including cerebral palsy, mental retardation, brain trauma and epilepsy. We are prepared to meet health related needs such as a gastrostomy tube, tracheostomy, breathing treatments or multiple medications.

All of our children enjoy activities throughout the week and community outings. CHS depends on volunteers to help us provide magical childhood memories for our children, whether it is a trip to the zoo or park, special birthdays or holidays.
