Education & Counseling

CHS is committed to providing on-going education resources and counseling for children and families in need. Our Education and Counseling Services are the first comprehensive post-adoption support program in the St. Louis area.

Along with the availability of specialized parental education programs, CHS also offers counseling services for children and families who have been adopted (or are in the process). All of our educators and counselors are experienced in the field of adoption and have years of expertise helping families adjust to the unique and often complex issues they face.

Our goal is to provide the necessary knowledge, support and resources to families so that they may continue the process of helping their children heal from past trauma, conquer the negative aspects of their earlier lives, or appreciate their role as members of a loving family. Services are available to any adoptive family, whether the family was formed with the assistance of CHS or another agency.

• Parent and children groups
• Seminars for adoptive families
