Children's Home Society welcomes two new members to the Board of Directors. Dan M. Curran, President, ngage experiential brand marketing and Scott D. Fesler, Capital Partner, Bush O'Donnell.

Curran worked with CHS to develop a new brand and brings years of innovative marketing expertise to our organization. Fesler is committed to helping CHS with his extensive financial and investment experience.

11/16/07 Variety the Children's Charity of St. Louis recognized Children's Home Society of Missouri with the Stellar Performance Award at the 41st Annual Allocations luncheon. The Stellar Performance Award was given to seven agencies that have gone above and beyond to serve children with physical and mental disabilities in this community.

11/21/07 St. Louis RAMS cooked up something special for Thanksgiving. The offensive linemen rolled up their sleeves with Save-A-Lot to provide a catered Thanksgiving dinner to children and families served by Children's Home Society of Missouri. Children went onto the field at RAMS park to toss the football and take some photos. Thanks for making a difference...Go RAMS!

12/2/07 "Skate for Holiday Wishes" Brentwood Ice Arena 1:00 - 2:15. Special thanks to our featured guests: Santa and Mrs. Claus, and Rick Zombo, St. Louis Blues Alumni. Adoptive and foster care families, children with developmental disabilities and the community joined us for "Skate for Holiday Wishes." No entrance fee, guests brought a gift, gift card or donation to make this holiday season special for all the children served by CHS.

The Children's Home Society of Missouri has been providing social services to children and families for over 100 years. A multi-faceted social service agency, the Home provides adoption services including traditional agency adoptions, independently facilitated adoptions, international adoptions and adoption services for older children, sibling groups and children with a variety of special needs. A companion program provides pregnancy counseling for birthmothers, birthfathers and families.

CHS has been a leader in services for children with significant, multiple developmental disabilities for over 20 years.

The Children's Home Society of Missouri operates two sites that provide residential services for children as well as respite and family support. These sites are staffed with nursing professionals to support the medical needs of the children, their daily care, and to support community participation for the children.

CHS launched the first comprehensive post-adoption support program in the St. Louis area. We provide on-going education resources and counseling for children and parents throughout their journeys as adoptive families. We provide the necessary knowledge, support and resources to families so they may continue the process of helping their children heal from past trauma, conquer the negative aspects of their earlier lives, or appreciate their role as members of a loving family.
